Just a little bit about me
Well my name is Annette Whelan, I guess you had worked that out since you are reading this. I am an Irish fused glass maker, living on the south east coast of Ireland. My studio is located beside Kilmore Quay village, Co. Wexford since June 2000. A love of the sea, the magnificent Wexford coastline and a passion for colour has been a powerful source of inspiration for my work. "Happy glass to make you smile." is the best description of what I do.

A very special request
I had the honour of making these special little butterflies to Celebrate the 25th year of the Jack and Jill Children's Foundation in 2022. The butterflies were then gifted by the foundation to the families of each of the children who had died in the past year, a way to remember their little ones in their anniversary year. I was mindful while creating these little butterflies to try make each one unique like each beautiful child they represent.
